Ny Attorney Full General Targets Xiii Exchanges Inward Research Including Coinbase, Binance, Bitfinex Too Gemini...

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman today launched what he's calling "Virtual Markets Integrity Initiative" - a fact finding research to acquire how cryptocurrency exchanges are running behind the scenes, past times requesting "Disclosures on Their Operations, Use of Bots, Conflicts of Interest, Outages, together with Other Key Issues".

Schneiderman said today on twitter:

"Today, nosotros sent letters to thirteen major cryptocurrency platforms requesting cardinal information on their operations, usage of bots, conflicts of interest, outages, together with other cardinal issues.  Too often, consumers don’t accept the basic facts they remove to assess the fairness, integrity, together with safety of these trading platforms. Our Virtual Markets Integrity Initiative sets out to alter that, promoting the accountability together with transparency investors together with consumers deserve."

The information was requested from the next thirteen exchanges: Coinbase, Gemini,  bitFlyer, Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Kraken, Bittrex, Poloniex, Binance, Tidex, Gate.io, itBit, together with Huobi.

So far, the Winklevoss twins (owners of the Gemini exchange) are the solely ones to lawsuit a response, stating to CNBC:

"Gemini applauds the Attorney General's focus on this manufacture together with the Virtual Markets Initiative, together with nosotros await forwards to cooperating alongside together with submitting our responses to the questionnaire that has been circulated".
