The championship of this map isn't actually fair, nether the rubric "invaded" the cartographer includes:

• Former business office of an invaded country
• Fought against but did non invade
• Fought on the territory but non against the country
• Airstrikes without solid soil troops

That said, it is a practiced affair the French, despite adapting a give-and-take for revenge,  revanche, into the policy of Revanchism, "the political manifestation of the volition to contrary territorial losses incurred past times a country"-Wiki, don't actually endeavor to conduct maintain dorsum all the places they've been.*

The map inward a higher house shows only well-nigh every province that has been invaded past times French Republic 1 agency or another.
The diverse ways include:

• Most of South America nonetheless technically belonged to Kingdom of Spain during the Napoleonic Wars
